Temple Shuts Out Penn State, 3-0



Temple posted its third victory of the season when they shut out Penn State, 3-0, Wednesday evening in Philadelphia. The squad leaned on young talent with goals from newcomers Alan Camacho Soto and Thibault Candia. Sophomore goalkeeper Michael Samnik earned his first shutout of the season.

Keys to the Match
> In his third career start, Camacho Soto opened scoring with his first career goal. The freshman collected a pass from junior Hermann Doerner and spun around to shoot right to the corner of the net.
> Temple attempted several close chances in the first half, however the plays were well defended by the Nittany Lions. 
> In the 15th minute, Candia scored Temple's second goal of the match shooting from the top far corner of the box with help from Doerner. 
>Temple's third goal was scored by Candia in the 52nd minute, assisted by redshirt senior Mark Grasela. The goal was his fourth of the season.
