Highlights
 
-  Cincinnati and Tulane each won in three sets and completed weekend sweeps on Sunday. The Bearcats’ outside and right side hitter Jordan Thompson continues to make conference history, setting her sixth and seventh league record of the season after registering the most kills in a single season with 660 and the most kills in a three-set match with 26. The Green Wave are rolling on a nine-match winning streak and joined Tulsa in third place with a 9-4 conference mark. Cincinnati remains locked in second place with an 11-2 American record—two matches behind first-place UCF (13-0). Wichita State and Houston each ended the weekend on a high note, collecting four-set wins.
 
Cincinnati 3, Tulsa 0
Cincinnati has won all six sets since moving its home court back to the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats defeated third-place Tulsa in straight sets, as Thompson finished with 26 kills in the match--the most recorded by an American Athletic Conference player in a three-set contest. She did so by hitting an impressive .564 and adding in 11 digs and two blocks. It will be a battle between the top two American Athletic Conference teams when the Bearcats travel to Florida next weekend for a Friday night match at UCF.
 
Wichita State 3, ECU 1
Junior Alex Koon posted a team-high 12 kills to go along with four blocks, while freshman Grace Burken added 10 kills and hit .304 with a career-best five blocks to pace the Shockers to a 3-1 win at ECU. Wichita State compiled a season-high 11 blocks and added seven service aces in the contest. With a 7-6 conference record, the Shockers are tied for fifth place with USF in The American standings.
 
Tulane 3, SMU 0
Tulane has held teams to averaging a .140 hitting percentage, while bumping 16.7 digs per set during its nine-match swing. The Green Wave completed its second-straight sweep and 13th of the season after defeating SMU in straight sets on the road. Tulane held the Mustangs to hitting below .100 and had 15.5 blocks in the win. Dayna Kern had eight kills and nine blocks while hitting .444.
 
Houston 3, Memphis 1
Kendall Haywood hit .476 with 11 kills and four blocks, as Houston snapped a three-match setback with a 3-1 win over Memphis to earn its second conference victory of the season. Silvia Pertens had a match-high 14 kills on a .393 attacking clip, while Megan Duncan chipped in with four service aces. The Cougars won the opening two frames, dropped a close third set and battled back to win the final five points of the match for a 25-20 fourth-set win. Three Tigers reached double-digit kills, led by Hannah Flowers with 13.
