IRVING, Texas – Three American Conference teams earned bids to the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Championship as Rice, South Florida and Tulsa all earned a ticket to the big dance. The three teams advancing to the NCAA Championship is the most in league history.
Tulsa (25-6) earned the American’s automatic bid for the NCAA Volleyball Championship after winning the 2025 American Conference Championship last week. They will travel to Lawrence, Kan. to take on No. 5 seed Miami (26-5) on Thursday, December 4 at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT. The winner will face the winner of No. 4 Kansas (22-10) and High Point (18-9). It is the fifth appearance in program history and first since 2012 for the Golden Hurricane.
Rice (21-9), the American regular season champion, earned the No. 7 seed and will travel to Dallas, Texas to take on Florida (15-11) on Friday, December 5 at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT. The winner will face the winner of No. 2 SMU and Central Arkansas (18-11). This marks the ninth appearance in program history and first since 2022 for the Owls.
South Florida (17-12) returns to The Big Dance for the first time since 2002 and the third time overall. The Bulls will take on No. 8 Penn State (18-12) on Friday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT in Austin, Texas. The winner will face the winner of No. 1 Texas (23-3) and Florida A&M (14-16).
