The Bearcats faced their third nationally-ranked opponent of the year so far.

With the tie, UC remained undefeated at home this year, moving to 3-0-1, while also increasing its current home undefeated streak to 16 in a row (12-0-4), dating back to the end of 2016.

After a weather delay and two overtime periods, UCF played to a 1-1 draw at Maryland. The Knights scored early, taking a 1-0 advantage into halftime, but Maryland (2-3-2) found the equalizer in the 64th minute to force the match into extra time.

In her first official match with the Knights, junior Konya Plummer put UCF in front first. Less than three minutes after entering the match, Plummer, who returned to the Black and Gold after competing for Jamaica in the Concacaf Caribbean Women's Qualifiers, showed her speed on a through ball to put the Knights up 1-0 in the 33rd minute.

The Knights return to the Orlando for their first official home match on Sunday. UCF welcomes Florida for a 6 p.m. contest at the UCF Soccer Complex.

ECU 2, Campbell 0
Returning home after its first loss of the season, the ECU women's soccer team bounced back with a 2-0 win over visiting Campbell on Thursday night in Johnson Stadium.

The Pirates outshot the Camels 15-2 during the opening stanza. ECU took the lead as Jayda Hylton-Pelaia collected the ball on the right wing and cut inside a pair of Campbell defenders to find space at the top of the box. Hylton-Pelaia used the time and space to line up a shot and let fly an effort that found the bottom right corner of the Campbell goal to open the scoring. The goal was the first of Hylton-Pelaia's collegiate career.

ECU plays its final home match of the non-conference slate this Sunday against Charlotte. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., in Johnson Stadium.
