Highlights
 
- East Carolina earned a men’s and women’s sweep in its opening dual meet of 2019-20, downing Old Dominion 198-92 and 188-107 on Sept. 27 in Norfolk, Virginia. ECU won all 16 men’s events during the meet, with Marek Osina claiming the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 200 IM to pace the Pirates. Lyubomir Epitropov (100 and 200 breaststroke) and Gustavo Santos (50 freestyle and 100 butterfly) also finished as double-winners for ECU. Shannon Scott, Adela Vavrinova, Mariana Vignoli and Lily West all claimed a pair of race victories on the women’s side for the Pirates.
 
- The Houston women’s swimming and diving team rolled past Incarnate Word 204-158 and UT-Permian Basin 158-85 on Sept. 27 in a tri-dual in San Antonio, Texas. Katie Power swept the competition in the 50 freestyle (:24.30) and the 100 freestyle (:53.29) to lead the Cougars, and Samantha Medlin was a double runner-up in the 500 freestyle (5:03.55) and the 1000 freestyle (10:29.35). Katie Deininger took home the 1-meter diving title with a score of 285.60 points, and Jolie Blodgett earned the win off the 3-meter board with 273.60 points.
 
- Tulane fell short against LSU in its opening dual meet of the 2019-20 campaign, dropping a 192-105 decision to the host Tigers on Sept. 28 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Kate McDonald earned two race victories for the Green Wave by winning the 100 breaststroke (1:03.39) and the 200 breaststroke (2:16.93), while Olivia Johnson raced to victory in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:13.57. Freshman Lilly Byrne was victorious in the 500 freestyle by touching the wall in 4:57.39 in her collegiate debut.
