Tulsa 2, No. 17 Arkansas 1
Haley Meinen homered and Rylie Spell drove in the game-winning run with a double in the fifth inning as Tulsa went on the road to defeat No. 14 Arkansas on Wednesday night, 2-1, at Bogle Park. Kassidy Scott pitched the final four innings and allowed just two hits while striking out four to earn the win for the Golden Hurricane, who has won nine of its last 11 games against the Razorbacks . Scott improved to 4-1 on the season with the victory.
ECU 8, Longwood 7; Longwood 3, ECU 2 (8 innings)
ECU rallied for an 8-7 win over Longwood to begin Wednesday's non-conference doubleheader before the Lancers took the second game 3-2 in eight innings to salvage a split at Lancer Field. Ashleigh Inae and Rachel McCollum pounded out three hits each in the opening game while McCollum drove in three runs and Logan Wood posted four RBI. Ashley Weingartz was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the nightcap while Chelsea Whitcomb recorded two hits and scored a run.
No. 7 Florida 5, UCF 0
UCF fell to No. 7 Florida in a midweek matchup at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium Wednesday evening, 5-0. The Knights collected five hits and committed a pair of errors in the loss, while the Gators recorded eight hits. Denali Schappacher led the Knights offensively and went 2-for-2 against Kelly Barnhill. Kyra Klarkowski flashed the leather on defense throwing out a runner at home from centerfield and robbing a three-run home run in the fifth. Alea White took the loss, tossing 2.1 innings and allowing four hits and three earned runs.
Ole Miss 8, Memphis 0
Memphis suffered a 7-0 setback to SEC foe Ole Miss Wednesday afternoon in Oxford, Miss. Delaney Smith led the game off with a lead-off single through the left side. Smith's hit, however, proved to be the only one of the contest for the Tigers. Memphis did reach base by way of walks, five of them, including three in the top of the sixth to load the bases. Ole Miss scored all but one of its runs in the bottom of the second inning. Mariah Nichols was dealt the loss after throwing 1.1 innings for the Tigers.
