Boston College 5, UConn 4 (8 innings)
UConn battled back on four different occasions on Tuesday afternoon, including sending the game to extra innings with a run in the bottom of the seventh, but visiting Boston College handed the Huskies a 5-4 loss in eight innings. Olivia Sappington and Briana Marcelino each had two hits and both belted homers in the loss for UConn, while Marybeth Olson took the tough-luck loss with five innings of relief after allowing three runs (one earned).

NC State 5, ECU 1
ECU limited NC State to two hits Wednesday but the Wolfpack took advantage of four walks and three hit batters to post a 5-1 non-conference victory at Dail Softball Stadium. Whitney Sanford was the losing pitcher, lasting one third of inning while surrendering four runs on no hits with three walks. Erin Poepping was very solid in relief, tossing the final 5.2 innings and striking out seven batters while allowing just one run and scattering two hits. Tyler King, Rachel McCollum, Tate McClellan and Courtney Layton all recorded a hit while McClellan notched the only RBI with her team-leading eighth home run of the season.

Arkansas 9, Wichita State 1 (Game 1); Arkansas 4, Wichita State 3 (Game 2)
In a rematch from the 2018 NCAA Regional Final, the Wichita State softball team fell short in both games of the doubleheader (9-1 and 4-2) against Arkansas on Wednesday at Bogle Park. Sydney McKinney collected two hits in game one, hitting her first career home run in the process. Madison Perrigan hit her ninth home run of the season in game two, marking the second time in three games where she hit a home run.

Missouri State 3, Tulsa 2
Tulsa rallied with a run in the top of the seventh and put the tying run in scoring position, but Missouri State was able to close out a 3-2 victory over the visiting Golden Hurricane on Wednesday night at Killian Stadium. Tori Stafford went 3-for-3 for Tulsa to lead the offense. Julia Hollingsworth also added a pair of hits, while Morgan Neal set a new personal single-season best with her 13th double of the spring. Kassidy Scott took the loss in the circle after she gave up four hits and a pair of unearned runs in her two innings of work.

Florida 1, USF 0
USF's Georgina Corrick held No. 6/9 Florida to just one hit in a close 1-0 loss in Gainesville on Wednesday night. Corrick didn't allow a hit through five full innings and held the Gators to one hit and one run in her complete game performance, just her third loss this season. USF was able to draw two walks in the matchup and Bethaney Keen was the Bulls' best chance when she hit a two-out double off the wall at right center in the top of the fourth. In the bottom of the sixth, Florida loaded the bases with an infield single, a walk and a fielder's choice, and scored on a deep sacrifice fly to center field.

Mississippi State 15, Memphis 3 (5 innings)
Memphis fell in its midweek game against Mississippi State on Wednesday night, dropping the matchup with its SEC opponent by a 15-3 margin. Ryleigh Aungst hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning, her sixth homer of the season. Karli Perque earned the start against the Bulldogs and was handed the loss after allowing four runs without recording an out in the first.

Texas 5, Houston 0
Houston had its offense halted on Wednesday night, as the Cougars fell to No. 11/11 Texas by a score of 5-0. Wednesday's decision marked the first time this season the Cougars (26-15) dropped a midweek competition, as Houston moves to 7-1 on the year in midweek games. Sarah Barker, Sarah Queen and Arielle James each recorded a hit for the Cougars. In the circle, Trystan Melancon and Savannah Heebner saw time for the Cougars. Heebner relieved Melancon in the bottom of the fifth and surrendered one run in her two innings of work.
