Memphis 5, UT Martin 4 (Game 1); UT Martin 2, Memphis 0 (Game 2)
Memphis split with UT Martin Tuesday in a midweek doubleheader, earning the victory in game one by a score of 5-4 before dropping the second contest by a score of 2-0. UT Martin took an early lead in game one, but five runs in the second inning propelled by Gracie Morton's third home run of the season gave the Tigers enough of an edge over the home Skyhawks. Two runs in the bottom of the first inning proved to be enough for UT Martin in game two as Memphis was unable to score. The Tigers spread out six hits in the contest, including two from Delaney Smith and Sara Ann Davidson but stranded eight runners on base.
Morton's third home run of the season was Memphis' third grand slam of the season, while Delaney Smith and Jessie Lamb each recorded hits in both games. Smith led Memphis with three hits on the day and also stole her team-leading 19th base in game one.
Duke 4, ECU 1
ECU fell behind in the first inning Tuesday and could not recover as Duke posted a 4-1 non-conference victory in Durham. Tyler King and Courtney Layton notched a hit each while Ashleigh Inae plated a run to lead the ECU offense, while Whitney Sanford tossed her sixth complete game of the season in the setback, surrendering four runs on nine hits with a walk and a strikeout.
Houston 4, Texas State 3
Houston Arielle James roped a double down the left field line to score the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh against Texas State, which proved to be the difference in the, 4-3, comeback victory on Tuesday night. James' double in the top of the seventh capped off a 2-for-4 performance, posting a game-high two RBI in the process. She was joined by Brooke Vannoy, who tied a career-high with three hits, as those with multiple hits on the night for the Cougars.
Maya Thomas extended her hitting streak to six games with her base hit in the fifth inning. Coming out of the bullpen for the fifth time this season, Presley Bell earned her 11th win of the year, tossing 4.2 shutout innings, allowing two hits during that stretch.
UCF 7, Bethune-Cookman 0; FIU 4, UCF 1 (8 innings)
UCF snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 7-0 win over Bethune-Cookman Wednesday evening at the UCF Softball Complex. The Knights split the doubleheader following a 4-1 eight inning loss earlier in the day to FIU. Alea White and Breanna Vasquez each pitched complete games, with White taking the loss in the first game, while Vasquez picked up the win.

Oklahoma's Mariah Lopez struck out seven Shocker batters and held Wichita State to only two hits and a .125 team batting average on the night.
