Highlights
-Cincinnati closed the dual season with a pair of defeats at Kentucky, as the Bearcat men fell to the No. 25 Wildcats 175-111 and the Cincinnati women dropped a 190-101 decision to No. 13 Kentucky. Parker Saladin swam to victory in the men’s 200 butterfly with a time 1:49.16, Kevin Leibold placed first in the 100 butterfly in :51.13 and Blake Hanna took the top spot in the 400 IM with a time of 4:00.82. The 200 freestyle relay squad of Alberto Garcia, Dom Intas, Michael Balcerak and Alex Fortman cruised to the win with a time of 1:23.17. On the women’s side, Maddie Exton picked up a win in the 100 freestyle with a time of :52.09. Lina Kutsko turned in a gold swim in the 100 butterfly in :56.35 and Michaela Wheeler was first to the wall in the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.45. The 200 freestyle relay entry of Kutsko, Exton, Claire Farrell and Abby Johnston took the victory in 1:35.79.
-Houston capped the year with a tri-dual split against LSU and Rice at the CRWC Natatorium, downing Rice 155-139 and falling to No. 17 LSU 211.50-87.50. Zarena Brown turned in a runner-up showing in the 200 freestyle (1:50.25), while Ioanna Sacha claimed a second-place result in the 200 backstroke (2:00.53). Mykenzie Leehy added a runner-up effort in the 100 freestyle (:50.51) and Laura Laderoute placed second in the 100 backstroke (:55.44) for the Cougars.
