PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (1-1, 0-1 AAC) landed its first win of the season with a dominant victory over the Villanova Wildcats, 3-0 at Higgins Soccer Complex. The win marks the first of head coach Nick Bochette's career with the Owls and the first for the program versus Villanova since their first meeting back in 1992.
After a scoreless first half, Hailey Gutowski broke the deadlock off a feed from Emily Kavanaugh in the 54th minute. Four minutes later, Emma Wilkins scored off an assist from Djavon Dupree. Kavanaugh sealed the win with a 68th-minute goal.
Kamryn Stablein made nine saves for a shutout for the Owls.
