GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The American Athletic Conference women's soccer regular season and tournament champion USF Bulls fell to the No. 7 seed Texas A&M, 2-0, in the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship Second Round Friday afternoon (April 30) in Greensboro, N.C.
After a scoreless first half, the Aggies (12-3-0) went ahead less than four minutes into the second half on a penalty by Barbara Olivieri. Olivieri doubled Texas A&M's lead in the 66th minute off an assist by Laney Carroll.
Both USF's Sydney Martinez and Texas A&M's Kenna Caldwell each made five saves in goal.
The Bulls (10-1-2) made their seventh NCAA appearance overall, their fourth NCAA bid in a row and their sixth trip out of the last seven seasons.
