EUGENE, Ore. – Houston freshman Shaun Maswanganyi closed his rookie campaign with three separate first-team All-America performances on Friday night to close the men’s portion of the 2021 NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field.
At the conclusion of two days of men’s competition, Houston finished as the top American Athletic Conference team in the standings with 15 points to share 18th place overall. Tulsa added 13 points to finish 24th in the nation.
Maswanganyi captured his first All-America scroll of the night alongside Jordan Booker, Travis Collins and Christian Hamberlin in the men’s 4x100-meter relay, as Houston placed eighth with a time of 42.87.
