MIAMI, Fla. – The UCF men's soccer team snapped its three-match losing skid with a 3-1 victory over FIU on Sunday night as Lucca Dourado twice, extending his goal streak to seven matches.

UCF earned its third penalty kick chance of the season in the 26th minute as the FIU goalkeeper, Matt Levy, took out a Knight with a late slide in the box. Dourado stepped up to the spot and converted on the chance, scoring in his seventh consecutive contest and bringing his season total to nine goals.

Dourado remains second nationally in consecutive games with a goal as LIU's Emil Jaaskelainen was also in action on Sunday night and netted a goal in the 81st minute to extend his streak to eight.

FIU leveled the match at 1-1 in the 35th minute, using a Philip Hilderbrandt strike from just outside the 18-yard box. The ball had been headed and batted around in the box before squeaking out to Hilderbrandt who tucked it just inside the right post.

FIU's keeper held onto the ball ready to launch a goal kick as time ticked down in the first half. The kick sailed long to the other end of the pitch, where the Knights were able to take away and start the counter. Mauricio Villalobos Vega led the way, sprinting down the pitch from beyond the midway line, making a move, and coming in unmarked down the left side. He crossed a ball into the box that was met by an FIU defender, but right to Kevin Andrews on the left post who pushed it in with under a minute left in the second half. The goal was the first of Andrews' career, and it put the Knights on top 2-1.

The Knights' momentum carried them to a third goal as a chance unfolded just a few minutes after a flurry of shots just moments before. FIU attempted to cross a ball into the box that was deflected away and right onto the foot of Dourado, who passed the ball up to begin the break. The ball found Clement Gouin to the right of the goal, who was double teamed by a pair of defenders and miraculously worked his way out of the jam. He crossed it back toward the goal mouth where it was briefly deflected by an FIU defender in the direction of Dourado, who pounded it home for his second goal of the match and his 10th of the season.

South Florida 2, Tulsa 1 – Box Score
TAMPA, Fla. – South Florida used a strong second half to defeat No. 14/21 Tulsa 2-1 on Sunday night in Tampa. The Bulls improve to 3-3-3 overall and 2-0-2 in The American. Tulsa falls to 6-2-2 overall and 2-2-1 in The American.

Neither side got on the board until the 67th minute, at which point Malik Henry-Scott pushed a ball past the South Florida goalkeeper off an assist by Sergio Baena to put the Golden Hurricane on the board.

The lead was short-lived, however, as the Bulls tied the match just five minutes later with a goal from Alfred Perez.

In the 80th minute, Segun Afolabi would score the game-winning goal for South Florida.

Charlotte 2, FAU 2 – Box Score
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Despite a dominant opening half and holding a, 2-0, lead for a majority of the second half, a pair of late FAU goals ended Sunday night's American Conference Soccer match between the Charlotte 49ers and the FAU Owls in a, 2-2 draw on Sunday at FAU Soccer Stadium.

The result marks the second consecutive draw between the programs and Charlotte's (7-1-2, 1-1-2) second draw this week, while FAU (3-5-3, 2-1-2) continues to hold steady in the top three of the conference.

Sophomore Filip Jauk and senior Kameron Lacey found the back of the net for the Niners on Sunday, while sophomore Callum Watts and freshman Samy Kolby assisted on CLT's two goals.

In the 26th minute, Watts picked up a loose ball in the midfield, before threading through a near perfect ball to Jauk just outside the 18. The Maribor, Slovenia native cooly slotted it past the FAU keeper to put CLT up, 1-0, against his old club.

Less than three minutes later Kolby chipped in a through ball just inside the 18 that found the sumptuous right foot of Lacey who calmly scored his seventh goal of the year to double the Niner advantage.

Unable to find a third, FAU upped its tempo and found its first goal of the night with just under 10 minutes to play from Blake Dean.

Minutes later, the Owls equalized on a shot off a tight angle from Andreas Raisanen to knot the score at, 2-2.

CLT pushed to find a winner, but the match ultimately finished, 2-2, as the sides each walked away with a point in the AAC standings.
