GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Brandon Johnson’s 16 points helped East Carolina defeat High Point 60-49 on Wednesday night.

Johnson also had 15 rebounds and three steals for the Pirates (9-4). Ezra Ausar added 15 points while going 7 of 10 and added seven rebounds. Javon Small had 12 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.

The Panthers (8-4) were led by Jaden House, who recorded 17 points. High Point also got 13 points and six rebounds from Zach Austin.

Johnson scored 11 points in the first half and East Carolina led 32-18 at the break.

Cincinnati 72, Detroit 54 - Box Score
CINCINNATI (AP) — Viktor Lakhin scored 18 points as Cincinnati beat Detroit Mercy 72-54 on Wednesday night.

Antoine Davis scored 17 points for Detroit Mercy, and the Horizon League all-time scoring leader is now 619 points away from Pete Maravich’s NCAA record 3,667. Davis entered the game leading the nation in scoring at 24.8 points per game. He is also just the second player in NCAA history with 3,000 points and 500 assists.

Lakhin also contributed 15 rebounds and three steals for the Bearcats (9-4). Landers Nolley II added 11 points while going 5 of 13 (1 for 6 from distance), and he also had nine rebounds. Mika Adams-Woods was 4 of 9 shooting (1 for 5 from distance) to finish with 11 points.

Gerald Liddell finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and two steals for the Titans (5-8). In addition, Damezi Anderson had 11 points and six rebounds.

Cincinnati led Detroit Mercy 37-28 at the half, with Lakhin (10 points) their high scorer before the break. Cincinnati outscored Detroit Mercy in the second half by nine points, with Nolley scoring a team-high nine points after halftime.


UCF 73, Stetson 58 - Box Score
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Taylor Hendricks had 16 points in UCF’s 73-58 win over Stetson on Wednesday night.

Hendricks had 10 rebounds and five assists for the Knights (9-3). Darius Johnson scored 16 points and added 10 assists. Ithiel Horton recorded 14 points and shot 5 for 9, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc.

The Hatters (5-6) were led in scoring by Josh Smith, who finished with 16 points. Luke Brown added 11 points for Stetson. Jalen Blackmon also had eight points.

UCF led Stetson 38-32 at the half, with Johnson (nine points) their high scorer before the break. UCF outscored Stetson by nine points over the final half, while Hendricks led the way with a team-high nine second-half points.

Tulane 84, Mississippi Valley State 63 - Box Score
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Jalen Cook scored 27 points as Tulane beat Mississippi Valley State 84-63 on Wednesday night.

Cook shot 9 for 11 (2 for 3 from 3-point range) and 7 of 7 from the free throw line for the Green Wave (7-4). Jaylen Forbes added 19 points while going 4 of 10 from the floor, including 3 for 7 from distance, and 8 for 9 from the line, and he also had six steals.

Terry Collins led the way for the Delta Devils (1-13) with 16 points and two blocks. Mississippi Valley State also got 13 points and 15 rebounds from Rayquan Brown.. Tyronn Mosley scored 10.

The Delta Devils have lost nine straight.

No. 3 Houston 83, McNeese State 44 - Box Score
HOUSTON (AP) — Ja’Vier Francis scored a career-high 23 points and had 13 rebounds as No. 3 Houston routed McNeese State 83-44 on Wednesday night.

Emanuel Sharp added 18 points while going 6 of 10 on 3-pointers for the Cougars, and Marcus Sasser hit 5 of 10 from long range and scored 17 points. The pair combined to shoot 9 of 14 on 3s in the first half.

Coming off a hard-fought 69-61 win at then-No. 2 Virginia on Saturday, Houston (12-1) had an easier time scoring. The Cougars went 11 of 20 from long range in the opening half and led 42-19 at the break.

Roberts Berze scored 13 points and Christian Shumate added 10 for McNeese State (3-10). The Cowboys lost their fourth straight game.

Houston shot 52.5% from the field, including 14 of 33 on 3-pointers.

The Cougars outrebounded the Cowboys 43-22 and converted 16 McNeese State turnovers into 23 points.

McNeese State shot 37%, including 6 of 24 on 3s.

Houston used a 20-2 run over an 8 1/2-minute span of the first half to open a 27-9 lead on a 3-pointer by Tramon Mark with 4:40 remaining. Sharp had nine points in the run.

Memphis 83, Alabama State 61 - Box Score
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — DeAndre Williams scored 25 points as Memphis beat Alabama State 83-61 on Wednesday night.

Williams added seven rebounds for the Tigers (10-3). Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu scored 14 points while going 6 of 7 from the field and 2 of 5 from the free throw line and added seven blocks. Kendric Davis also scored 14 points.

Alex Anderson led the Hornets (1-11) with 16 points and added three steals. Alabama State also got 16 points from Isaiah Range. In addition, Antonio Madlock finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Memphis led 47-37 at halftime. Williams paced the team in scoring in the first half with 14 points. Memphis outscored Alabama State in the second half by 12 points, with Williams scoring a team-high 11 points after the break.

LMU 76, Tulsa 64 -  Box Score
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cameron Shelton had 24 points in Loyola Marymount’s 76-64 victory against Tulsa on Wednesday.

Shelton added 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Lions (10-4). Keli Leaupepe added 16 points while going 6 of 11 (4 for 5 from distance), and he also had nine rebounds. Chance Stephens was 4-of-11 shooting (3 for 8 from distance) to finish with 11 points.

Sam Griffin finished with 13 points for the Golden Hurricane (4-7). Anthony Pritchard added 12 points and five assists for Tulsa. In addition, Bryant Selebangue finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Loyola Marymount carried a slim three-point lead into halftime, as Leaupepe led the way with 11 points. Loyola Marymount outscored Tulsa in the second half by nine points, with Shelton scoring a team-high 14 points in the final half.
