Season Ends For South Florida At The 2022 NCAA Golf National Finals

IRVING, Texas South Florida closed the golf season with a 28th-place finish at the end of 54 holes of stroke play at the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
 
South Florida, competing at the NCAA finals for the fourth time in program history and the third year (2015, 2016, 2022) under head coach Steve Bradley, fired rounds of 303-304-300 to post a cumulative team score of 907 (+67). The Bulls previously finished 17th in 1987 before advancing to the match play quarterfinals in 2015 (sixth place overall) and the third round of stroke play in 2016 (26th place overall) at the NCAA DI Men’s Golf Championship.
 
Reigning America Player of the Year Albin Bergstrom led South Florida at Grayhawk Golf Club with a 54-hole score of 224 (75-75-74, +14) to share 87th place individually. Luke Gifford tied for 109th place with rounds of 78-76-74=228 and Run Youprayong carded a 229 (75-79-75) for the Bulls.
 
South Florida posted a three-round score of 876 (290-292-294) at the 2022 NCAA Palm Beach Regional on May 16-18 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to place fourth out of 14 teams and punch its ticket to NCAA nationals. The No. 40 Bulls bested four other Golfstat ranked foes in Palm Beach, including No. 15 Notre Dame, No. 26 Purdue and No. 34 New Mexico, to advance out of the regional by a comfortable 13-shot margin.
