IRVING, Texas – Some 31 athletes from across the American Athletic Conference are off to Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon for the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships on June 8-11.
ESPN3 will have wall-to-wall coverage of the national championship meet, with linear broadcasts of men’s events on June 8 scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU and June 10 at 9 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2, and women’s events on June 9 beginning at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU and June 11 at 5:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPN.
Houston led the way with 10 total qualifiers, including relays, to pace The American after the NCAA East and NCAA West preliminary round meets that were held from May 25-28. The UCF women’s team added seven qualifiers, which included a relay squad, followed by four athletes from South Florida who each punched a ticket to Eugene. Cincinnati and Memphis will each be represented by three national qualifiers apiece, Wichita State added two qualifiers, and one East Carolina athlete and one Tulsa athlete will each compete in an event final.
