Memphis, South Florida, UTSA Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the ninth week of the season.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan Walker, Jr., F/M, UTSA
Walker scored the game-winning goal for the Roadrunners in the eighth minute of a 2-0 win over Temple on Sunday. The junior also scored the game-tying goal in the 64th minute of a 1-1 draw at UAB on Thursday.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Haylee Spray, Sr., D, Memphis
Spray led the Tiger defense to a pair of 1-0 wins at East Carolina and Charlotte. The senior and the Memphis defense only allowed three shots on goal in each shutout victory.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Leire Herraez Gallach, So., South Florida
Herraez Gallach recorded two clean sheets in a pair of 1-0 victories. The sophomore made five saves against North Texas on Thursday before saving four shots against SMU on Sunday.
 
Rookie of the Week
Anna Hauer, Fr., F, Memphis
Hauer scored a SportsCenter Top 10 goal in the 36th minute against East Carolina to give the Tigers a 1-0 victory in a battle of the two division leaders on Thursday.
 
Weekly Honor Roll
Tash Hudson, Sr., F, Charlotte
Hudson scored a brace in the 49ers 3-0 win over Tulsa on Thursday.
 
Momo Nakao, Jr., M, Memphis
Nakao scored the game-winning goal against Charlotte in the 32nd minute on Sunday.
 
Signe Markvardsen, So., D, South Florida
Markvardsen aided the Bull defense to two shutouts and scored the game-winning goal against North Texas on Thursday.
 
Sadie Sider-Echenberg, So., M, South Florida
Sider-Echenberg scored the game-winning goal from outside the box against SMU on Sunday.
 
Jasmine Kessler, Fr., GK, UTSA
Kessler recorded six saves and a clean sheet to go along with an assist in UTSA’s 2-0 win at Temple. She also made three saves in a draw vs. UAB.
