IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s monthly golf honors for the month of October.
 
Men’s Golf Player of the Month
Conor Gough, Jr. - Charlotte
Gough turned in a pair of podium finished in the month of October at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate and the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.  The junior finished in 3^rd place at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in a field that featured seven Top 25 teams in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.  Gough shot a five-under 211 at the tournament and followed up with another third place finish at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, shooting a nine-under 207. In two tournaments, Gough held a 69.7 stroke average.
 
Women’s Golf Player of the Month
Melanie Green, Sr., - South Florida
Green finished with two podium finished during the month of October, while holding a 69 stroke average across two tournaments.  She finished in third place at the Dale McNamara Invitational, shooting an eight-under 208 while facing 10 ranked teams in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.  She followed up with a second-place finish at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami, Fla., shooting a ten-under 206.
