South Florida Sets Attendance Record In Win Against Charleston Southern

On Thursday, the UTSA women's basketball team suffered a 65-57 overtime defeat at the hands of Texas State in nonconference action inside the Convocation Center. 
The Roadrunners (4-3, 0-0 AAC) fell to the Bobcats (4-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) in the Battle of I-35, despite an 11-point, nine-rebound performance by senior Elyssa Coleman. 
Matching Coleman's point total, sophomore Sidney Love was an even 50% from the field, and Siena Guttadauro tied her career best with a trio of three-pointers.
On the rebound leader board, freshman Aysia Proctor and sophomore Cheyenne Rowe weren't far behind Coleman, each hauling in seven, while newcomer Idara Udo recorded six. Additionally, senior Kyra White led the contest in assists, dropping five dimes to go along with seven points.

Senior forward Evelien Lutje Schipholt (season-high 17 points, season-best 11 rebounds) collared her first double-double of the season in South Florida women's basketball's (6-3) 81-35 routing of Charleston Southern (1-6) on Thursday at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla.
 
Thursday's Education Day crowd featured a program-record 9,574 Bulls fans. The record setting crowd was also the highest attended regular season home women's basketball game in the state of Florida over the last 20 years.
 
Lutje Schipholt also grabbed a season-best three steals on the day. Senior guard Maria Alvarez (16 points) and sophomore wing Carla Brito (14 points) rounded out the additional pair of Bulls in double figures. Freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh (five assists) and sophomore guard Marina Asensio (five assists) combined for 10 of USF's 16 total assists.

Baylor 85, SMU 61
he SMU women's basketball team fell to No. 13 Baylor 85-61 on Thursday night in Moody Coliseum.

Tamia Jones led the Mustangs with 17 points, four steals, three assists and a rebound. Jones' 17 points tied her career-high. Tiara Young scored in double-digits for the seventh consecutive game. Young tallied 16 points while grabbing a season-high nine rebounds and passing out two assists. Reagan Bradley scored 14 points and passed out three assists. The graduate guard finished with two boards. 

Chantae Embry turned in six points and one rebound, a steal and an assist. TK Pitts finished with four rebounds and an assist, and Amirah Abdur-Rahim chipped in two points, four rebounds, and an assist.
