BOCA RATON, Fla. – Johnell Davis of Florida Atlantic has been honored as one of the five Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week, as announced by the USBWA on Wednesday afternoon.

Five players are awarded each week by the USBWA as the top performers in men's college basketball in conjunction with the Oscar Robertson trophy, given at the end of the season to the most outstanding player in Division I.

The junior guard adds another accolade to his collection following his spectacular performance in the Owls' 96-95 double overtime victory over No. 4 Arizona on Dec. 23. Davis also earned the AP national player of the week as well as the AAC Player of the Week.

In the 14-point comeback victory over the Wildcats, Davis scored a season high 35 points, tied for the fifth most ever recorded by an Owl in a single game, and nabbed nine rebounds and three steals. During the afternoon, he also joined the 1,000 career points club, now at 1,008.
