Total of 30 American Athletes Qualify for 2023 NCAA DI Track & Field Championships

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference saw 31 student-athletes advance through the preliminary rounds of the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships at a pair of regional sites that hosted competition from May 24-27.
 
UCF led the way with 8 total qualifiers, including relays, to pace The American. Cincinnati added six competitors followed by five athletes from South Florida. Houston will send four athletes to the championship, while Memphis, Tulsa and Wichita state each send two. Tulane will send Kristen O'Handley in the heptathlon and SMU will send Raelyn Roberson in women's long jump.
 
Qualifiers from the regional prelims are set to take part in the national portion of the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas from June 7-10.
