COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Tulane’s men team concluded their season at the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday, while Wichita State's Elkana Kipruto earned All-American status.
The Green Wave, coming off a regional championship, finished 21
st overall as a team. Bernard Cheruiyot was the highest finisher at 29
th overall with a time of 28:59.3. Silas Kiptanui was a top 50 finisher, coming in 47
th place with a time of 29:11.6. Illia Kunin (29:59.3) followed in 154
th place, while Gilbert Rono (206
th; 30:32.6) and Tommy Rice (214
th; 30:36.9) rounded out the five scorers. Rogerio Amaral (225
th) ran a time of 30:49.7, while Zach Van Houten (228) completed the 10k course with a time of 30:55.5.
Wichita State's sophomore Elkana Kipruto finished in 24th place to earn All-American status with a time of 28:57.0.
Tulane’s Blezzin Kimutai and Tulsa’s Evyn Humphrey competed individually in the women’s 6k race. Kimutai finished in 108
th place with a time of 19:59.2, while Humphrey finished in 115
th place with a time of 20:01.8.
