No. 3 Tulsa Advances to Semifinals of American Volleyball Championship

TAMPA, Fla. – No. 3 Tulsa outlasted No. 6 Florida Atlantic, 3-1 (25-17, 25-17, 21-25, 19-25) in the quarterfinals of the 2025 American Volleyball Championship on Friday night at The Corral.
 
Tulsa’s (23-6) offense was led by a trio of hitters who reached double-digit kills. Olivia Vance led the Golden Hurricane with 17 kills, while Jill Hanson finished with 13 kills while hitting .611 and Beth Bayless recorded 12 kills. Brayden Hipp dished out 45 assists to orchestrate the Golden Hurricane attack.
 
Tulsa’s defense was anchored by libero Lauren Eitler, who delivered a match-high 16 digs to keep the floor clean. Tulsa hit .327 as a team, while holding the Owls to just .178 over four sets.
 
Florida Atlantic (19-11) was led by Olivia Hart’s 19 kills, while Anna Hartman added 10 kills.
 
With the win, Tulsa advances to the semifinals of the American Volleyball Championship where they will play No. 2 South Florida at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
