IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly volleyball honors for the sixth week of the 2026 season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Lauryn Mack, So., OH, Tulane
Mack hit a combined .280 for 2-0 Tulane, averaging 4.39 points and 4.00 kills per set over two wins last week. Mack swung .304 with 20 kills and nine digs in a five-set win over Memphis.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sequoia Layne, Jr., RS, Florida Atlantic
Layne averaged 2.00 blocks per set in a 1-1 Florida Atlantic week. In a four-set win over Temple, Layne registered a total of 10 blocks (four solo) in a 3-1 victory.
Setter of the Week
Sydney Marshall, Jr., Memphis
Marshall averaged 10.11 assists during a 1-1 conference week for Memphis, including double-doubles against UAB (41 assists, 16 digs) and Tulane (50 assists, 15 digs).
Freshman of the Week
Paula Tomasa, Fr., OH, South Florida
Tomasa swung .250 with 21 kills and 3.83 points per set in a pair of sweeps for South Florida. Tomasa hit. 379 with 13 kills over three sets against Rice.
Honorable Mention
Kai Bailey, Sr., MB, East Carolina
Bailey averaged 1.67 blocks per set across two East Carolina sweeps, including six blocks (one solo) in a win against UNT.
Jahniya Jackson, Sr., OH, UNT
Jackson averaged 4.94 points and 4.63 kills per set during a UNT road trip, notching 21 kills in a five-set defeat against Charlotte.
Nina Jioshvili-Ravva, So., S, South Florida
Jioshvili-Ravva registered 10.67 assists per set over a pair of South Florida sweeps, logging 30 assists against Rice and 34 helpers versus Temple.
Olivia Vance, Sr., OH, Tulsa
Vance averaged 4.36 points per set in two Tulsa road wins, highlighted by swinging .421 with 17 kills in four sets at Wichita State.
Gabi Maas, 5th, DS/L, Wichita State
Maas averaged 3.63 digs per set across two Wichita State matches, notching 14 digs against Tulsa and 15 digs at Tulane.
