Six teams from the American Conference earned victories on the opening day of the 2025 season.
Memphis struck for six goals in a 6-0 win over Southern Miss, while Charlotte (2-0 over UNCW), South Florida (1-0 over Furman) and Temple (3-0 over Iona) also secured clean sheets. In addition Rice defeated Houston Christian, 2-1, and Tulsa took down Central Arkansas, 2-1, on the road.
