IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the seventh week of the 2025 season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Ashley Henderson, Jr., F, Memphis
Henderson led the Tigers to a pair of conference wins last week. In a 3-0 win over South Florida on Thursday, the junior scored the second goal of the match in the 71
st minute, then against No. 25 Rice on Sunday in Houston, Henderson assisted on the first goal in the 20
th minute and scored in the 58
th minute in a 2-0 victory.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sofia Serrano, Sr., D, East Carolina
In the Pirates’ lone match of the week, Serrano helped lead the East Carolina defense in allowing only four shots on goal in a 2-0 shutout. The senior, who also had an assist in the game, cleared one of the shots on target off the line to maintain the clean sheet.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Abby Kudla, So., Memphis
Kudla recorded six saves in two clean sheets last week. The sophomore made three saves in a 3-0 win over South Florida on Thursday before making three more saves in a 2-0 win over No. 25 Rice.
Freshman of the Week
Mihiro Furuya, F, Memphis
Furuya assisted on a goal in a 3-0 win for the Tigers over South Florida, while recording one shot in a 2-0 win over No. 25 Rice.
Honorable Mention
Amelia Brown, Sr., M, Charlotte
Brown scored the game-winning goal and provided an assist in Charlotte’s 3-2 win over North Texas.
Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram, So., F, East Carolina
Dolan Boodram scored the game-winning goal of a 2-0 victory at North Texas in the 19
th minute on Sunday.
Sloane Young, Gr., F, Florida Atlantic
Young scored a goal for the Owls in a 2-2 draw with Tulsa on Thursday and scored again in a 3-2 win over Temple on Sunday.
Finley Lavin, Jr., D, Memphis
Lavin led the Tiger defense to just six shots on goal allowed over shutout wins over South Florida and No. 25 Rice.
Jordan Frederick, Jr., F, Tulsa
Frederick tallied six points last week, recording an assist in a 2-2 draw with Florida Atlantic on Thursday before scoring two goals and providing an assist in a 3-3 draw with South Florida on Sunday.
