THE GAME
Saturday’s game will be the third meeting between UAB and Navy in a series that began with the Blazers’ arrival into the American in 2023 … Navy has won the first two matchups with a 31-6 victory in Annapolis in 2023 and a 41-18 decision in Birmingham last year … Navy QB Blake Horvath threw for 225 yards and two TDs in last year’s win.

Head Coach
Trent Dilfer (Fresno State ’93)

Notes
The game perhaps had more drama than UAB would have liked, but the Blazers turned in an outstanding offensive performance in their 52-42 win against Alabama State last Thursday to start the season … UAB amassed 520 yards of offense, surpassing the 500-yard total for the seventh time under head coach Trent Dilfer … Perhaps more impressively, UAB did not punt and did not commit a turnover while compiling those numbers … QB Jalen Kitna completed 18 of 23 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns … RB Jevon Jackson, a transfer from UTEP, rushed for 166 yards and two TDs on 17 carries … WR Corri Milliner had five receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown, while WR Iverson Hooks finished with 73 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions … UAB’s roster has 49 new players, including 31 transfers.
