IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the fourth week of the 2025 season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Leah Chancey, Gr., M, Rice
Chaney scored a brace in Rice’s 2-0 win over Lamar on Sunday, August 7. The graduate student scored three minutes into Sunday’s contest before doubling the Owls’ lead in the 16
th minute.
Defensive Player of the Week
Finley Lavin, Jr., D, Memphis
Lavin led the Tiger defensive line to two clean sheets last week, including a scoreless draw with No. 2 Tennessee. The junior played all 90 minutes in both games, where the Tigers allowed only three shots on goal against the Lady Vols on Thursday, August 4, and only one shot on target in a 1-0 win over UT Martin on Sunday.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Kirsten Ruf, Jr., Rice
Ruf made eight saves in Rice’s 2-0 win over Lamar on Sunday. The junior recorded six saves in the first half, including three in the first 10 minutes, and two in the second half.
Freshman of the Week
Kamryn Watson, F, UTSA
Watson scored the match-winning goal in a 1-0 shutout win over Incarnate Word on Thursday at San Antonio FC’s Toyota Field. The freshman scored the lone goal of the match in the 37
th minute.
Honorable Mention
Leah Parsons, Jr., GK, UAB
Parsons recorded seven saves over two clean sheets. She made four saves in a 1-0 win over Western Kentucky and three saves in a scoreless draw with Belmont.
Gentiana Fetaj, Sr., M, South Florida
Fetaj scored the match-winning goal in the 37
th minute of a 3-0 win over Stetson on Sunday.
Kameron Kloza, R-Sr., D, UTSA
Kloza led the Roadrunner defense to two shutout wins, allowing one shot on goal against East Texas A&M after allowing two shots on target against Incarnate Word.
Zoe May, Sr., M, UTSA
May scored a goal in UTSA’s 3-0 win over East Texas A&M after assisting on the match-winning goal against Incarnate Word.
Jordan Frederick, Jr., F, Tulsa
Frederick scored a pair of goals in the Golden Hurricane’s 8-0 win over East Texas A&AM and provided an assist in a 2-2 draw with Oral Roberts.
