IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly indoor track & field awards for the week ending Sunday, February 22.
 
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Jason Parrish, Jr., Wichita State
Parrish broke the Wichita State program record in the 200-meter dash, finishing the race in a time of 21.01 seconds. It is the third-fastest time in the American this season.
 
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
Kaleb Tesmer, So., Wichita State
In his season debut, Tesmer cleared 2.06 meters in high jump – the third best mark in the American this season.
 
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Ella Escobar, Sr., Charlotte
Escobar won the 60-meter dash at the USC Invite with a personal record time of 7.48 seconds – the third best mark in the conference this season.
 
Women’s Field Athletes of the Week
Sasha Gregory, Jr., Charlotte
Gregory won both the high jump and long jump at the USC Invite. Her long jump leap of 6.12 meters is the third best mark in the conference this season.
