IRVING, Texas – The American Conference Women’s Golf Championship is set to be played at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Florida for the fourth consecutive year. The 2026 edition of the American Championship is scheduled for April 20-22 with teams playing three 18-hole rounds. Live coverage of the third and final round will air on
ESPN+ at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT on April 22 with Sean Salisbury, AJ Ricketts and Maria Trivelpiece on the call.
Split tee times will begin on April 20 between 8-8:40 a.m. (ET) off the first tee with No. 1 Tulsa, No. 2 South Florida and No. 3 seed North Texas leading things off, while No. 7 seed Florida Atlantic and No. 8 seed Tulane will tee off on the 10th hole. Players from No. 4 seed East Carolina, No. 5 seed UTSA and No. 6 seed Charlotte have scheduled first-round tee times from 8:50-9:30 a.m. off the first hole, and No. 9 seed Wichita State, No. 10 seed Memphis and No. 11 seed UAB will begin on number 10 in that same wave. The field will be re-paired for both day two and day three based on the previous round’s scoring, with split tee times off holes one and 10.
TULSA LOOKS TO DEFEND AMERICAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
For the first time since 2021, Tulsa returned to the winner’s circle at the 2025 American Women’s Golf Championship after firing rounds of 279-290-283 to finish at 12-under-par 852, cementing a 21-stroke tournament win. It was the largest margin of victory at the championship since 2019.
Romaine Massery from Tulsa secured medalist honors during the 2025 tournament at Southern Hills Plantation Club, carding rounds of 68-71-70 to win by one shot at 7-under-par 209. Massery captured the first individual American women’s golf title for a Tulsa player since the Golden Hurricane joined the conference.
AMERICAN WOMEN’S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP IN FAMILIAR SURROUNDINGS AT SOUTHERN HILLS
For a fourth consecutive year, the American Women’s Golf Championship will be contested at the Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club in Brooksville, Florida. The course will be played at a par-72 and measure approximately 6,289 yards for the weekend.
Southern Hills Plantation Club was designed by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye and opened for play in 2006. The club has hosted both PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour qualifying school tournaments and has served as the Monday qualifier site for the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor.

Tulsa enters the 2026 American Women’s Golf Championship slotted 52nd in the latest Clippd team rankings from April 16 to pace the conference. South Florida (60), North Texas (61), East Carolina (82), UTSA (84) and Charlotte (96) were also ranked in the latest Clippd Top 100. Charlotte sophomore Pinky Chaisilprungruang was the top ranked individual player from the American according to Clippd, checking in at 50th in the April 16 rankings with three wins and seven top 10s thus far this season.
