BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Tulsa continued its solid play in search of a second straight conference title on day two of the 2026 American Conference Women’s Golf Championship on Tuesday at Southern Hills Plantation Club.
The Golden Hurricane fired a second consecutive team score of 4-under 284 to open a 15-stroke lead after 36 holes (284-284=568, -8). Charlotte was the only other team to shoot par or better in the second round, carding a 3-under-par 285 to climb into second place at 583 (298-285).
The average score on the second day of play at Southern Hills Plantation Club was 75.29 over the 55 completed rounds. A total of 11 of the 55 players in round two finished at par or better, including seven under par showings. A total of six eagles were also recorded during the second round across the field, a jump from the two of round one.
Tulsa registered three under par rounds for the second straight day as part of its 4-under 284 team total. Allyn Stephens paced the lineup with a 2-under 70 to climb to ninth place at 2-over-par 146 (76-70) for the championship. Zoe Shamy added a 1-under 71 to the score for the Golden Hurricane (77-71=148, +4) and defending individual tournament champion Romaine Masserey settled into solo fourth place after 36 holes with an even par 72 to check in at 142 (70-72, -2). Samantha Olson remained within two shots of the individual lead in solo second place at 4-under-par 140 (69-71).
Charlotte jumped up the team leaderboard thanks to the stellar play of standout Pinky Chaisilprungruang, who turned in the round of the tournament with six birdies as part of a 5-under-par 67 in round two to take the individual lead at 6-under 138 (71-67). While playing the par-3, 154-yard eighth hole in round two, Jette Schulze secured the third ace of her career by holing out a 9-iron as part of an outward 2-under 34. Schulze added four birdies on the day to tally a 1-under 71 to score for the 49ers.
UTSA locked up a final pairing slot with Tulsa and Charlotte after logging rounds of 288-301 to post a 36-hole total of 589, with Florida Atlantic (296-297=593) and East Carolina (293-301=594) rounding out the top five teams.
The third and final round of the 2026 American Women’s Golf Championship will commence on Wednesday with tee times expected to begin at 8 a.m. (ET). Coverage on ESPN+ is slated to begin at 11 a.m. (ET).
