SARASOTA, Fla. – Memphis continued its impressive play at the 2026 American Men’s Golf Championship, carding another strong round to take a four-stroke lead into Wednesday’s final round at the Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club.
 
The average score over the second round was 72.80 over 55 rounds on the par-72, 7,417 yard course. Over two rounds the average score is 72.28.
 
The Tigers followed up an opening-round 16-under 272 with a 14-under 274 on Tuesday, moving to 30-under 546 overall.
Memphis is led individually by Diego Do Patrocinio Lourenco, who sits atop the leaderboard at 12-under 132 through 36 holes. All four scoring Tigers remain under par, with Yixiang Wang, Cian O’Connor and Christian Morneau each tied at 5-under 139.
 
Charlotte is in second place at 26-under 552 after a 9-under 279 in round two. Chase Cline leads the 49ers and ranks second overall at 11-under 133, while Justin Matthews is tied for fifth at 8-under 136.
 
Rice holds third place at 17-under 559 after posting a 1-under round on Tuesday. Reggie Zhu paces the Owls at 9-under 135, good for fourth individually, while Lukas Boandl enters the final round at 4-under 140.
 
South Florida made a significant move on day two, firing a 10-under 278, the second-best round of the day, to climb into fourth place at 16-under 560. Joshua Stewart and Wilhelm Ryding lead the Bulls and are tied for sixth overall at 7-under 137.
 
UAB rounds out the top five at 9-under 567. Alvaro Huidobro leads the Blazers at 6-under 138 after a 2-under second round, while Erik Olin sits at 4-under 140.
 
The championship round is set for Wednesday, with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET. Live coverage will air on ESPN+ starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.
