PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) week four regional rankings were released today and nine American teams earned spots on the polls.
There was one change on the men’s side as Cincinnati made its first appearance in the regional rankings, coming in at No. 15 in the Great Lakes Region. Tulsa (No. 3, Midwest Region), UConn (No. 14, Northeast Region) and Temple (No. 15, Mid-Atlantic Region) all remained stable in the rankings.
Memphis made the highest jump on the women’s side, climbing two spots to No. 9 in the South Region. Tulsa climbed one spot to No. 4 in the Midwest Region, overtaking Kansas. In the South Central Region, SMU has the highest ranking of all American teams, earning the No. 2 spot for the second straight week. Tulane stays at No. 8 and Houston drops one spot, having not raced last week, to No. 14.
