PROVIDENCE, R.I. – SMU senior Jenny Haglund was tabbed the American Women's Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday netting a pair of Top-5 finishes in consecutive weeks.
Haglund shot a season-low 4-under 212 (72-71-69) during action at the Westbrook Spring Invitational on Feb. 21-22. The senior tied for third in the 86 player field, one stroke off the lead, and helped SMU to a fifth place finish in the team standings. The senior posted a Top-5 finish the previous week at the Florida State Match-Up as the Mustangs outshot four teams ranked in the Top-25 during the three-day event.

- The Knights finished 16th at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate on Tuesday in its last time out...Senior Mary Mulcahy led UCF and posted her best individual finish of the year (222).
- Next up for the Knights will be the SunTrust Gator Women's Spring Invitational Mar. 5-6 in Gainesville, Fla.
- Cincinnati
- The Bearcats set a three-round program record with an 884 (296-290-298) during action at the Amelia Island Intercollegiate on Feb. 22-23…Ashley Cassidy had the best individual finish for Cincinnati and placed sixth overall with a 219.
- The Bearcats return to action Mar. 11-13 at the Clover Cup at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
- Memphis
- Freshman Sydney Colwill posted her second career Top-20 finish at the Amelia Island Intercollegiate…The Tigers placed 10th overall in the team standings with a 918.
- Memphis will next play at the 3M Augusta Invitational in Georgia, Mar. 11-13.
- SMU
- The Mustangs finished fifth (864) at the Westbrook Spring Invitational during their last time out on Feb. 22…Jenny Haglund tied for third (212) individually and posted her second Top-5 finish of the season.
- SMU is back in action Mar. 5-6 at the SunTrust Gator Women's Spring Invitational.
- Tulane
- The Green Wave hosted the weather delayed Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate on Feb. 21-23 and finished sixth overall with a 298…Senior Madison Opfer led Tulane with a 21st place finish.
- Tulane returns to action at the Hurricane Invitational on Feb. 29-Mar. 2.
- Tulsa
- Tulsa placed sixth overall at the Amelia Island Collegiate in the first spring event of the season for the Hurricane…Nadia Majidizadeh was the top finisher for Tulsa and finished 18th with a 223.
- Tulsa will be in action next at the Clover Cup on Mar. 11-13 in Mesa, Ariz.
