Highlights
 

- ECU, SMU and Wichita State24 each went 2-0 over the weekend, as the Mustangs and Shockers picked up their sixth straight victories to remain tied in first place in American standings. The two unbeaten teams will meet on Friday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET in Wichita, Kan.
 
- The Pirates picked up their third win in a row, taking down UConn in four sets on the road. The senior trio of Natalie Montini, Ashton Mares and Lael Ceriani recorded 12 kills each while freshman right side Bri Wood chipped in with 11. Montini committed just two attacking errors to end up with a .476 hitting percentage. Defensively, Toya Osuegbu racked up eight total blocks. ECU is tied for third place in the league with a 4-2 American record.
 
- Wichita State hit .396 on the way to its sixth straight American win with a sweep victory over Houston. Abbie Lehman led the Shockers with 16 kills and five blocks, while Tabitha Brown had a double-double of 15 kills and 15 digs. Emily Hiebert had 37 assists. The Shockers held the Cougars to a .056 hitting percentage.
 
- Kelly Brunstein and Meryn Kennedy scored 10 kills each to lead the SMU offense to its sixth conference win in a row with a 3-0 victory over UCF at home. Kia Bright led UCF with a match-high 13 kills.
 
- Cincinnati and Temple went to four sets with the Owls coming out on top at home. Both teams join ECU in ranking third in the league with a 4-2 record. The Owls racked up 14 total blocks, the team's best effort in conference play this season with Iva Deak leading the way with eight. Temple got double-doubles from three players, including Kyra Coundourides, Izzy Rapacz, and Katerina Papazoglou. For the Bearcats, Carly Nolan had a team-best 17 kills and 10 digs for her 10th double-double this year.
 
-  USF came back from a 2-1 deficit, outscoring Tulsa 40-29 in the final two sets to pick up a five-set win. Clara Payne had a career-high 15 kills and finished with a match-best .394 hitting percentage and also added four blocks. Priscilla Ehieze and Doris Carter each had 14 kills. Four players hit in the double-digits for Tulsa, including Emily Thorson, who put down a career-high 25 kills. Taylor Horsfall had 39 digs for the Golden Hurricane. The Bulls have won their only two five-set matches this season.
