Highlights
- Ten American Athletic Conference volleyball teams played their respective travel partners for the second time this week to conclude their 2017 regular season action. UCF and USF will play the final American regular season match, taking place tomorrow night in Tampa.
 
Temple 3, UConn 2
Temple outlasted UConn for a five-set win, which eventually led the Owls to clinching a portion of the conference’s second place spot when SMU fell to Tulsa later on in the day. Temple and SMU end the regular season tied for second place with 15-5 records. Izzy Rapacz finished her afternoon with a double-double of 19 kills and 18 digs, also adding six blocks for Temple. Kyra Coundourides also had a double-double, ending with 47 assists and 14 digs, adding four blocks. Iman McGary had a match-high 28 kills and added 16 digs for UConn. Her 28 kills are the second most put down in a conference match all season. Elizabeth Kline recorded 37 digs.
 
Cincinnati 0, ECU 3
After defeating Cincinnati in five sets on the road just two days ago, the ECU volleyball team completed the home and away sweep of the Bearcats with a 3-0 win. Taking the sole fourth place spot in league standings, the Pirates end the regular season with a 22-11 overall record, the most victories in a single campaign since 1982, and a 13-7 mark in conference play – the most-ever league wins in a season in program history. ECU led 14-5 in blocks, as Ashton Mares tallied 12 kills, three service aces and five stuffs in the victory.
 
Houston 3, Tulane 2
Sarah Afflerbaugh and Brianna Lynch combined for 24 kills to pace Houston to a 3-2 win over Tulane in the Cougars’ regular season finale. The fifth set came down to the final three points, as Houston held onto the 15-12 win. Five players reached double-figure kills for Tulane, as Erika Hansel led the pack with a career-high 16 kills. Kaylie McHugh recorded 26 digs for the Green Wave.
 
Memphis 0, Wichita State20 3
The Shockers swept their ninth straight opponent with a win over Memphis to complete a 20-0 inaugural American season. The wins are the most in conference history, as the Shockers become the second league team to go unbeaten in conference action since Louisville went 18-0 in 2013. The Shockers have won 29 consecutive sets, which stands as the longest streak in league history. Abbie Lehman led the Shockers in the win over the Tigers with 11 kills and four blocks, while hitting .733. After winning the conference title, Wichita State will make its 11th appearance in the NCAA tournament and awaits its opponent, as the NCAA Division I volleyball selection show takes place on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. ET.
 
Tulsa 3, SMU 0
Emily Thorson knocked down 18 kills with a .314 hitting percentage and 17 digs to guide the Golden Hurricane to a 3-0 win over second-place SMU on the road. Tulsa wraps up its regular season with a 9-11 record. The win for the Golden Hurricane was the first over SMU since the 2014 season.
