Highlights

UCF relied on their defense on Saturday to earn a doubleheader split at the UCF Knights Invitational. The Knights scrapped out a 2-1 victory over Florida A&M behind a complete-game effort from freshman Kamryn Toney, but dropped a 6-3 decision to No. 20 Kentucky. Junior designated player Courtney Rotton hit her first homer of the season in the sixth inning.

East Carolina split a pair of games on Saturday, routing Winthrop 14-6 (5) at the Red and Black Showcase at Turner Softball Stadium. The Pirates also fell to No. 10/12 Georgia 9-1 (5) in their second contest of the day. ECU recorded 15 hits with three HRs and 14 runs against the Eagles. The 14 runs scored marks a high mark for the Courtney Oliver era. Senior Kacie Oshiro and redshirt freshman Tate McClellan collected three hits apiece.

Memphis picked up the split Saturday afternoon with a comeback victory over Georgetown and a setback to FIU at the Felsberg Invitational. The Tigers scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning against the Hoyas to win by a score of 9-7 before falling to FIU by a score of 12-4 in six innings. Lindsay Crowdus put on an offensive show at the plate, going a perfect 6-for-6 including two triples in the win over the Hoyas.

After trailing 3-0 after the first inning, USF used a four-run sixth to complete a comeback, downing No. 6 Michigan, 6-4, in the USF-Wilson DeMarini Classic in Tampa. In the sixth, the Bulls offense kicked into high gear as they plated four runs, highlighted by a two-run HR from Kassie Moeller. It was the first career home run for the senior.

Tulsa split a pair of contests on day two of the Hillenbrand Invitational on Saturday afternoon, beating Cal State Northridge 7-4 before falling to No. 21-ranked Baylor 9-1 in game two of the doubleheader. The Hurricane tallied double-digit hits in their second consecutive game in the contest against CSUN, batting 6-18 (.333) with runners on base. Emily Watson earned the win in the circle for the Hurricane as she tossed a complete game while striking out seven batters and surrendering just one earned run.
