Highlights

After Gardner-Webb scored an unearned run in the third inning, UCF responded with four runs on three hits and cruised to a 9-1 five-inning victory Saturday at the Easton Bama Bash.The Knights broke open a 5-4 game in the seventh inning by scoring eight times to secure a 13-4 victory over Texas Tech in game two of the day.

Senior Valerie Sadowl led the Huskies (3-5) offensively, going 5-for-8 with two RBI and three runs scored in a 6-0 win over Florida A&M.

After dropping a 7-3 decision to Virginia Saturday to open the second day of the Pirate Invitational at the ECU Softball Stadium, East Carolina rebounded with a 2-1 victory over Virginia Tech in the nightcap.

Houston fell 7-6 in eight innings to rv/rv Oregon State and bounced back with an 8-2 win over Purdue on Saturday at Big League Dreams Complex as part of the Mary Nutter Classic.

Kalen McGill tossed a six-inning, complete-game shutout and the USF offense exploded for a seven-run sixth inning, leading to a 10-0 victory over Colgate.

Tulsa split a pair of games on day two of the Cardinal Classic, falling to Northern Illinois 2-0 before responding with 2-1 win over Kansas as junior pitcher Emily Watson moved into ninth all-time on Tulsa's all-time career strikeout list with 305.
