Softball Rolls into Week Four

The 2017 softball season will head into its fourth week with all seven American teams in action. 

UCF freshmen Kamryn Toney, Autumn Gillespie and Tamesha Glover played key roles in a tight 3-2 loss at No. 10 Alabama at Rhoads Stadium. The Easton Bama Bash All-Tournament Team included junior designated player Courtney Rotton, Glover and Toney.

After going 3-1 on week three with wins over Fordham as well as ACC members Virginia and Virginia Tech, East Carolina had two players recognized for their efforts by the American Athletic Conference. Senior pitcher Lydia Ritchie  and redshirt freshman Tate McClellan were named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Houston will conclude their six-game road swing on Wednesday, March 1, in a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch at No. 18/18 Texas A&M.

Memphis will return to the Tigers Softball Complex next weekend for the first of three non-conference home tournaments this season. Memphis begins play with Belmont at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 3.
