After an 8-0 five-inning setback to Ohio State, UCF bounced back by batting around and scoring 10 runs in the sixth inning to notch an 11-3 walk-off victory over Delaware State on Friday.

The Knights continue the UCF Wilson/Demarini Tournament on Saturday at 3 p.m. against No. 16 Georgia and Mercer at the UCF Softball Complex.

After failing to muster a hit in a 12-1 six-inning loss to No. 13 James Madison, East Carolina rebounded in a big way to post an 8-3 victory over RV Pittsburgh Friday afternoon at the ECU Softball Stadium.

The Pirates left just three runners on base as compared to nine for Pitt. East Carolina also tallied seven two-out RBIs and was 3-for-5 with runners in scoring position.East Carolina will take on James Madison Saturday afternoon at 12:30 to wrap up the weekend.

Houston picked up its fifth and sixth consecutive wins, sweeping Prairie View A&M, 3-0 and 7-0, in a doubleheader on Friday night at Cougar Softball Stadium.

With the wins, the Cougars improve to 12-11 overall and pick up their second and third straight decisions via shutout, while the Panthers fall to 3-16. Houston's six straight wins are the longest for the program since 2014 (11 straight), while the string of shutouts is the first since 2012 (three straight).

Memphis extended its winning streak to seven games, the longest since 2011, with a pair of victories over Oakland and Buffalo Friday evening. The tigers came from behind to defeat Oakland by a score of 4-3 before run-ruling Buffalo in five innings, 11-3.

With the win, Memphis improves to 11-7 on the year and 7-0 at the Tigers Softball Complex. They compete against Indiana and Lipscomb tomorrow afternoon, starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Tigers Softball Complex.

After a  loss to Purdue to open play on Friday, the USF softball team rebounded with an 11-inning victory over Saint Joseph’s.Hartman went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI at the plate. Parker threw eight innings, allowing just four earned runs and striking out three.

The Bulls will face Butler and Central Michigan in Clearwater on Saturday. First pitch in the doubleheader is at 2 p.m.

Tulsa had it going on both sides of the ball Friday evening as they shutout No. 23-ranked California 4-0 at Collins Family Softball Complex. The Hurricane (13-9 Overall) racked up a tied for season-best 11 hits in the win as three TU hitters finished with multi-hit performances.
