UCF used a balanced offensive attack, which featured all nine players in the lineup registering at least one of the team's 14 hits, to down Mercer, 8-4 on Sunday at the UCF Softball Complex. The Knights scored the first six runs and kept the Bears off the scoreboard till the final two frames.

The Knights continue their season-long homestand with a doubleheader on Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Iowa State.

UConn picked up a season-defining 2-1 win over Grand Canyon on Sunday afternoon on the Stanford campus. Sadowl went 2-for-3 against the Mountain Hawks, her team-leading seventh multi-hit game of the season.

The Huskies head to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Rainbow Wahine Classic from March 14-18. First, they will play Hawaii on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. (ET).


Houston picked up its fourth and fifth straight shutout, sweeping Texas Southern, 1-0 and 6-0, in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at Cougar Softball Stadium.With the wins, the Cougars improve to 14-11 overall and extend their win streak to eight straight games, while the Tigers fall to 7-5. Houston’s string of five straight shutouts ties the program record set back in 2011.

Houston will close its current homestand in a 5:30 p.m. first pitch with Texas State on Wednesday, March 15, at Cougar Softball Stadium.

USF started the day with an 11-1, five-inning victory over Army, before earning a win over Central Connecticut State, 9-2 in the nightcap. Hannah Parker and Susan Wysocki each picked up wins, holding their opponents to 3 and 2 hits, respectively.

The Bulls will face Jacksonville and Yale in a midweek doubleheader Wednesday, March 14, at 5:30 p.m

Tulsa split a pair of games to round out play at the Tulsa Invitational on Sunday afternoon, blanking Texas Tech 7-0 in the first game before falling to Wichita State in the second, 5-3. The Golden Hurricane (14-10 Overall) went 3-1 over the weekend while shutting out two opponents and recording double-digit hits in two contests.

Tulsa remains at home this weekend as they are scheduled to take on Arkansas at Collins Family Softball Complex on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
