After dropping the first two games of the series, UCF bounced back to notch its first win over a Top 25 opponent this season with a 4-2 victory over No. 14 Baylor on Sunday afternoon at the UCF Softball Complex. Sophomore first baseman Cassady Brewer hit a solo homer in the fourth inning to tie the game, 1-1, and capped a three-run frame an inning later with an RBI single.
USF picked up its 20
th win of the season, defeating Florida A&M, 4-3, Sunday afternoon. Sam Worrell put the Bulls up early, launching her sixth home run of the season to give USF the 3-0 lead in the first inning. The Bulls will travel to Gainesville for a midweek tilt at Florida Wednesday, March 22, at 6 p.m.
Tulsa picked up their sixth straight victory on Sunday morning as they rounded out play at the Rock Chalk Challenge unbeaten with a 7-2 win over Omaha. The Hurricane (20-10 Overall) posted a season-high 14 hits while 10 different batters posted a base hit with four players putting together multi-hit performances.
