In its first home contest against a top-ranked team in the nation, UCF set the third-highest attendance in school history with 947 fans at the UCF Softball Complex. The Knights were unable to use the encouragement of the Black and Gold faithful to upset No. 1 Florida State on Wednesday in a 4-0 loss.

Memphis was unable to hang on to its lead in the 10^th and the 11^th as it fell to Belmont Wednesday evening by a score of 5-4 in 11 innings. The Tigers fall to 15-12 overall with their first conference series coming up this weekend at home.
