In the bottom of the ninth inning in the series-deciding War on I-4 contest, UCF freshman left fielder Kyra Klarkowski stepped to the plate and delivered a walk-off single to right, lifting the Knights to a 5-4 victory on Saturday afternoon at the UCF Softball Complex.

UCF hits the road for a matchup with No. 3 Florida on April 19 in Gainesville. First pitch on SEC Network+ is set for 6:05 p.m.

A clutch two-out home run off the bat of redshirt freshman infielder Tate McClellan propelled East Carolina to a 2-1 victory over Connecticut Saturday afternoon at the ECU Softball Stadium. The win clinched the first series sweep in conference play for the Pirates since joining the American Athletic Conference prior to the 2015 campaign.

McClellan's two-run shot in the bottom of the fourth inning was the 55th of the season for the Purple and Gold, breaking the previous American single-record of 54 held by Louisville in 2014.

Tulsa completed a three-game sweep of Houston, who came into the weekend tied with the Golden Hurricane atop The American standings, with a 7-3 victory on Saturday afternoon at Collins Softball Complex.

For the second consecutive outing, Haley Meinen picked up the win in the circle, this time with five scoreless innings of relief, to improve to 4-1. Emily Watson entered the contest in the top of the seventh and recorded the final two outs to earn her second save of the weekend and close out the second American series sweep for the Golden Hurricane (29-13, 8-1 AAC).
