Memphis was unable to overcome early scoring by Oklahoma State Monday evening, falling to the No. 14/18 ranked Cowgirls by a score of 5-2. The Tigers drop to 15-13 overall with conference play on the horizon this upcoming weekend.
Baylee Smith hit her seventh double of the season in the bottom of the first inning, while Ashley Threatt hit her third home run of the year in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Tigers. Gracie Morton and Regan Hadley tallied hits in addition to Threatt and Smith. Karli Perque allowed two runs in a one inning start, taking the loss, while Mariah Nichols struck out three batters in 2.1 innings of relief for the Tigers before Bayleigh Wisher threw the final 3.2 innings with a pair of strikeouts and no runs scored.
