UConn took the first of two games on Sunday, winning 4-2 to take the weekend series before Wichita State used a six-run third inning to take the final game of the series 8-6 on Sunday afternoon. Olivia Sappington and Kiwi McDaniel both had two hits in the first game for UConn, each tallying a double and a home run, as Katie Koshes earned the victory in the circle with 5.2 innings and three strikeouts.

Wichita State's big third inning in the second game was highlighted by Ryleigh Buck's three-run homer, as the Shockers also got a homer from Madison Perrigan in the first inning. Buck had three hits to pace the offense, while Sydney McKinney and Perrigan each had two hits. Adi Reese had three RBI, all coming off a double as part of the third frame. Hailey Martinez tossed four innings for the win for Wichita State, while Erin McDonald earned her fourth save of the season with the final 1.2 innings of relief.


Tulsa 12, Memphis 5
Rylie Spell went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a season-high four RBIsas Tulsa swept its three-game American Athletic Conference series against visiting Memphis with a 12-5 win on Sunday at Collins Family Softball Complex. Spell and Tori Stafford helped power the offense for the Golden Hurricane with home runs, their second and third round-trippers of the season, respectively. Chenise Delce picked up the win in the circle to improve to 10-3 on the season, while she also drove in a pair of runs.

The Tigers scattered eight hits on the day, including two by Delaney Smith and Ashley Threatt, who extended her on-base streak to 12 games and her hitting streak to six games. Ryleigh Aungst's home run was her team-leading fifth of the season.


USF 3, Houston 0
Georgina Corrick struck out 13 in USF's 3-0 shutout win in the series finale to sweep Houston on Sunday afternoon. Kelsey Lay went 2-for-3 with two singles and two runs, while AnaMarie Bruni, Meghan Sheehan and Brooke Hartman also tallied hits.

Trystan Melancon tossed her sixth complete game of the season for Houston, having struck out six batters and allowing just one walk over 101 pitches. In her nine starts this year, Melancon hasn't surrendered more than three earned runs. At the plate, Savannah Heebner and Maya Thomas, along with Lindsey Stewart and Brianna Burton, all collected a hit in the contest.
