UConn used a pair of scoring innings to defeat visiting Central Connecticut 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies got on the board in the third inning with Kiwi McDaniel’s two-run single, before a three-run fourth at saw McDaniel collect her second two-run single in as many innings. The fourth frame also saw Ashley Esty deliver an RBI single and a RBI double from Reese Guevarra. Marybeth Olson struck out nine batters in five innings to earn the win.
Oklahoma State 5, Tulsa 0
Tulsa saw No. 13 Oklahoma State pull away late with two runs in the fifth and sixth on its way to handing the Golden Hurricane a 5-0 loss on Tuesday night. Rylie Spell went 2-for-3 to lead the Golden Hurricane, while Chenise Delce had a hit and took the loss in the circle after she allowed a run on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Delce's record moved to 12-5 during the season.
