NCAA HEAT/LANE ASSIGNMENTS
PROVIDENCE – The 2019 American Athletic Conference Women’s Rowing champion UCF will represent the conference at the NCAA Rowing Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., on May 31-June 2. The Knights earned their highest seeding in program history as announced during the NCAA Selection Show on Tuesday night.
For the fifth consecutive year, UCF saw its name appear on the screen during the NCAA Rowing Championships selection show thanks to a quintet of American Championships and automatic qualifiers.
Not only did the five-time American Athletic Conference champions see their names among the automatic qualifiers, they also saw the program’s highest seeding in all three NCAA events.
The Knights matched their highest seeding in the Varsity Eight at No. 18. UCF’s conference champion Second Varsity Eight earned its highest seed, entering NCAAs at No. 16. The Varsity Four, which posted an open-water win at The American Championship, earned its highest seed in program history at No. 15.
UCF posted its fourth-straight top 20 team finish at the 2018 NCAA Rowing Championships in Sarasota.
The 2019 NCAA Rowing Championships are hosted by Indiana and Indiana Sports Corporation and will take in Indianapolis.
