SMU Finishes 21st at 2024 NCAA Rowing Championships

BETHEL, Ohio -- SMU finished 21st at the 2024 NCAA Rowing Championships, held at East Fork/Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio. Texas clinched the Division I national championship after coming in first place with 130 points. Stanford came in second with 127 points. This marks the Longhorn's third championship title in program history.

SMU won the Varsity 4 D final with a time of 7:40.341. They topped the field of Northeastern, Jacksonville and Rhode Island by 1.740 seconds.

The Mustangs finished in second in the Second Varsity 8 D final. They finished ahead of Jacksonville and Rhode Island. They came in 1.924 seconds ahead of third place and posted a time of 6:54.361.
 
SMU finished in fourth in the D final of the Varsity 8. They crossed the line in 6:47.540, one and a half seconds behind third place Jacksonville.

SMU captured its fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference title at the 2024 conference regatta on May 12 in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
