IRVING, Texas – Four-time defending American Athletic Conference women’s rowing champion SMU is headed to the 2024 NCAA Rowing Championships, to be held May 31-June 2 at East Fork/Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio. SMU will be one of 22 programs competing for the national title.
 
The Mustangs have been seeded No. 21 in both the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 and No. 20 in the Varsity 4.
 
SMU captured its fourth consecutive American Athletic Conference title at the 2024 conference regatta on May 12 in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
 
The Mustangs have the three-highest NCAA finishes in American Athletic Conference history, highlighted by last year’s ninth place finish. SMU placed 12^th in 2022 and 11^th in 2021.
